Christie’s is thrilled to present Phases – the inaugural Christie’s 3.0 auction of nine new NFT works by the 18-year-old visual artist, Diana Sinclair. The curated sale explores the artist’s poignant relationship with time, with bidding from 28 September to 11 October. The intertwined narratives of memory and time, truth and fabrication, progress and loss unfold via four generative videos and five vibrant still images with accompanying physical scrims. The four generative pieces are tied to dependencies linked to time and will constantly evolve and transform — much like the human condition. The exhibition at Christie’s New York is a synthesis of video, music, physical display, and multi-sensory immersion, on view from 27 September to 5 October.
Diana Sinclair Phases
Diana Sinclair is a visual artist working in the New York City area. Since entering the NFT space early last year, her accomplishments include curating the now annual Juneteenth exhibition “Digital Diaspora,” being featured on Fortune’s NFTy 50 list, collaborating with TIME, and selling a piece of her work in collaboration with Whitney Houston’s estate for over $1 million at auction.
To date, her work exploring self-identity, social justice, and our society’s relationship with the internet has been featured in Teen Vogue and The Guardian. As a young person navigating the web3 space, Diana believes that the next renaissance will grow from the intersection of art and technology and is passionate about creating work that embraces this evolution.
