Trevor Jones (b. 1970) is a Canadian-born, Scotland-based artist whose work merges traditional painting with cutting-edge technologies, including augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and NFTs. After completing a 5-year MA Fine Art program at Edinburgh College of Art and Edinburgh University in 2008, Trevor’s art has continuously evolved, blending a deep understanding of Western art history with modern digital innovations.
His work explores themes of technology, cryptocurrency, contemporary culture, spirituality, and politics. Trevor pushes the boundaries of the canvas, integrating digital elements to create dynamic, multi-sensory experiences.
In 2012, Trevor began experimenting with technology, painting large, scannable QR code oil paintings. The following year, he became one of the first artists in the world to integrate AR into his work. His fascination with technology deepened further when he entered the world of NFTs in 2019, achieving global recognition with his breakthrough piece, The Bitcoin Angel open edition, which sold over $3.2 million in just seven minutes.
In addition to his artistic practice, Trevor is the founder of the Castle Party, an exclusive Web3 networking event that unites leading artists, collectors, and innovators at prestigious, historic venues. Beyond fostering creativity and collaboration, the event raises vital funds for Maggie’s, a cancer support charity. To date, the Castle Parties have raised $175,000 to support this meaningful cause.
