Sasha Stiles (b. 1980) is an award-winning poet, artist and AI researcher whose work probes what it means to be human in a nearly post-human era. Widely recognized as a pioneer of algorithmic authorship and blockchain poetics, she is the author of the “instant techno-classic” Technelegy, a groundbreaking, transmedial collection of poetry, art and electronically enhanced spoken word co-authored with Stiles’ AI-powered alter ego. Recent honors include a Future Art Award and nominations for the Forward Prize and Pushcart Prize, plus coverage in Art Forum, Lit Hub, Artnet and The Washington Post and invitations to speak at Art Basel, The Brooklyn Museum, Pace Gallery, SXSW and elsewhere. Stiles’ hybrid work is exhibited widely in solo and group shows as well as art fairs and public installations around the world, from LA, London and Paris to Dubai, Lagos and Tokyo. A co-founder of theVERSEverse, Stiles has served as Poetry Mentor to the android BINA48 since 2018, and lives just outside New York City.
