Sam Spratt (b. 1988) is a New York based artist focused on lifting up traditional painting philosophy and ancient stories into the digital realm.

Currently, he is working on his series, LUCI; a story about our path out. Luci debuted in October 2021, was sold at Christie’s during MAPS first auction in June 2022, and has become one of the most successful fine art series in digital art. Spratt’s utilization of on-chain artwork was born from studying the core ideas underpinning blockchain technology: that with so much lost in the transition of power through time, that there is a beautiful purpose to expend energy to collectively preserve the record of human experience, in and out of art.

His award-winning work has found homes in games, films, tv, music, books, and most creative industries — through painting, Spratt aims to pull the tactility of the physical world, and to preserve our most human stories for what’s ahead.
