Sold to benefit NGOs that address gender-based violence
On 12 September, Kering will auction Emily Yang’s The Arctic Dream as part of its annual Caring For Women Dinner to benefit NGOs that address gender-based violence.
The eternally flying owl symbolises the ongoing effort needed to safeguard the Arctic environment. It underscores the constant commitment required to address environmental challenges, urging collective responsibility, and emphasising that through unwavering determination and united action, we can overcome obstacles and preserve the Arctic's beauty.

To mark the 10th anniversary of Kering’s new identity and the 60 years since the creation of the Group, Kering will auction an original artwork by Artist Emily Yang, who imagined a digital art piece around the Kering emblem, the owl, evolving in a landscape that follows the exact season and skylight of the Arctic in real time. It symbolizes the ongoing effort needed to safeguard the Arctic environment and Kering's long-standing commitment to preserve the environment.
Emily Yang (pplpleasr) is a world-renowned multidisciplinary artist who has dedicated her life to NFTs for good. Her work centres around ideas of storytelling, with inspirations spanning from anime and video games to traditional Chinese and Japanese art.
Yang and her work have been featured on the covers of Fortune and Vogue magazines. She was highlighted in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 in 2022 and ranks in the top five of Fortune’s most influential NFT figures.
Leveraging her art, she partnered with Brut and Cannes Film Festival in 2022 to create a programme that supports the careers of young female filmmakers. Yang has donated over $1.5 million to charity through her NFT sales.
